ABBA - Dancing Queen - 1976
ABBA have performed disco, rock and roll, folk, love songs and other song types. Now, decades later, the songs "Dancing Queen", "Fernando" and "Mamma-Mia" are being played on ipods, stereos and theaters. Their music breadth is quite amazing from the soft toned "Andante, Andante" to "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)", "Money, Money, Money", and "Summer Night City". The 1994 movie Muriel's Wedding has also helped introduce younger generations to ABBA's music. ABBA had such hits as: The Day Before You Came, SOS, The Winner Takes it All, Knowing Me Knowing You, as well as many less popular but just as enjoyable ones, among which are: Cassandra, Elaine, That's Me and Crazy World.
Frida has limited success as a recording artist up to the early Seventies even though she was a fairly well-known stage artist. By 1970 she was part of a Swedish cabaret show with her fiancé, Benny Andersson, and with Björn Ulvaeus and his fiancée, Agnetha Fältskog. |
